About
Chantal
Chantal graduated from McGill University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Since then, she has worked in private practice with a varied orthopaedic clientele. It is in this setting that Chantal developed her passion for manual therapy. In 2011, after completing her Masters of Clinical Science in Manipulative Therapy at Western University, Chantal earned the recognition of Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT).
Since completing her FCAMPT certification, Chantal has gone on to be an instructor and mentor with the Association québécoise de physiothérapie musculosquelettique avancée (AQPMA) as well as for the Canadian manual therapy curriculum in France. She also taught orthopaedics at the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy of McGill University from 2011 to 2017.
Expertise
and interests.
Among her many fields of expertise, Chantal has taken several courses in temporomandibular joint dysfunction and continues to develop her expertise in treating TMJ (jaw) pain, dysfunction and headaches. Chantal’s personal interest in running has led her to receive specialized training in injury prevention for runners. Chantal enjoys working with a clientele of all ages, all fitness levels, from acute injuries to chronic conditions.
Chantal has her certification for peripheral and vertebral manipulations, dry needling as well as for XRay prescription from the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec (OPPQ). She is fluent in French and English and is an active member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (CAMPT), the OPPQ and the Association québécoise de la physiothérapie (AQP).
